Associated Project Manager

Thierry COULET is associated with Euréval’s team as Expert or Project Manager. He has a PhD in Applied Economics and is specialised in economic statistics (business statistics, international trade and services statistics), international trade negotiations on services and evaluation. He specialised in two main areas.

•  The first one is the advice in trade policy, trade strategy, strategic advice in negotiations and impact analysis of commercial agreements. Thierry Coulet has been involved in several African countries in the framework of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the ACP countries and the EU. He also intervened in Africa and South America regarding the impact of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).
•  The second area is the economic studies and the economic and statistic information system. He took part in particular in the evaluation of the “impact of EU legislation and its burden on enterprises” on behalf of the DG Enterprise and in the “evaluation of the regional companies’ support policy” on behalf of the Rhône-Alpes Region. He also has a well established experience in the coordination of EU projects and programmes. He was in charge in particular of the coordination of the “Enterprises in Europe” project on behalf of Eurostat and the DG Enterprise and is currently in charge of the Transport sector within the Medstat II Programme.

Formerly research professor at EMLyon Business School, Thierry Coulet has gained a long experience in leading studies and complex research projects. In addition, he is a teacher of “European Affairs” in prestigious institutions such as the Institute of Political Studies of Lyon.
